Welcome to the Ottawa-Carleton Branch of RWTO/OERO!

The Retired Women of Ottawa-Carleton is a welcoming community of women who have dedicated their careers to education, support, and care. Our members include retired Teachers, Educational Assistants, Counsellors, Early Childhood Educators, Psychologists, Social Workers, Librarians, Speech Pathologists, Audiologists, and Office Support Staff. What we all share is a love of learning, laughter, and building meaningful connections in this new stage of life.

Each month, we come together for engaging activities—whether it’s a lunch outing, a peaceful garden walk, a creative card-making session, or an afternoon tea. We also have three thriving interest groups that meet monthly: our Book Club, Breakfast and Conversation Group, and Craft & Chat Club—perfect for diving into your favourite hobbies with like-minded women.

Throughout the year, we host special gatherings that members look forward to: our September Welcome Lunch (complete with a fun Quarter Frenzy game), a festive Christmas celebration with carols, our Spring AGM, and even summer events like the beloved Tea on the Lawn at Billings Estate.

If you’re a retired woman educator in Ottawa-Carleton looking for friendship, inspiration, and community, we’d love for you to join us. Whether you’re eager to try something new, share your passions, or simply enjoy good company, you’ll find a place here.

The annual membership for Ottawa-Carleton Branch for the 2025-2026 year is $60.00.
